Requesting a charter

Requirements

Before submitting a request, ensure you meet the following criteria. Note: Requesting does not guarantee service. Approval depends on vehicle and driver availability.

 

Eligible users

You must be a University department representative.

 

Timeline

Requests must be submitted at least two weeks in advance.

 

Payment

A valid EFS chartstring is required to submit a reservation request.

Process

Depending on trip length, location, amenities or equipment needs, we may recommend trusted outside providers to best serve you.

Service options and capacity

Billing

Hourly rates apply with a two-hour minimum per vehicle. Contact us for current rates.

Standing room

Standing room is permitted for short campus shuttles but is not allowed for highway or long-distance trips.

Accessibility

All buses are equipped with ramp accessibility for wheelchairs and mobility devices. See our Code of Conduct for information on service animals.

Cancellations and no-shows

  • Two-week notice is required to cancel without penalty.
  • Short-notice bookings approved within the two-week window are still subject to this policy.
  • No-shows or late cancellations will be charged full price.

Restrooms and storage

  • No restrooms: Buses do not have restrooms and cannot stop outside of the predetermined route.
  • No storage: There is no overhead or undercarriage luggage storage. Items must fit on your lap or under your seat.

Short notice requests and changes

Any changes or new requests require a minimum two-week notice. If you have an urgent, last-minute request inside this window, please contact us directly.

Code of Conduct

All charter passengers must abide by the standard Campus Transit Code of Conduct.
